One day to go, $2,500 to raise. Last call!

Our goal is to raise $11,500 by the end of the month, and we have roughly $2,500 to go.
By now, you probably already know of my plan to create the Red List of Endangered and Emerging Alphabets, which will be the first-ever catalogue of all the world’s scripts, assessing the health (or vulnerability) of each one. It will show the full panorama of writing across the globe, and it will show exactly where the need for help and support is greatest and most urgent.
If you’d like to see the plans laid out in detail, well, that’s all at https://www.endangeredalphabets.com/2021/09/15/the-red-list-our-three-year-project-to-map-all-the-worlds-scripts/. If you’d like to see a short video that explains the need and the urgency, that’s at https://www.endangeredalphabets.com/how-to-support-us/.
We need your help, because there is no funding for script research and revitalization.
There is no funding because funding agencies are not yet aware of the need.
Nobody will realize the need because there’s no documentation. In other words, no Red List.
We have to break that vicious circle, just as the Red List of Endangered Species did. And that will change everything. But for now, there’s just you and the Endangered Alphabets Project, and we have to do this together.
Please donate whatever you can. I’ll see it’s put to the best use possible.
Thanks so much.
Tim
P.S. If you are wary about making online donations, you can always send a check payable to the Endangered Alphabets Project to 1001 Highlands Road, Keeseville, NY 12944. Or contact me by email and we’ll make it work however you like.
